How does the Pond One ClearTec UV-C work?

Water enters the UV-C via stepped hose tails; here it is exposed to ultraviolet light treating the single celled algae, resulting in the algae cells flocculating together into large clumps. These are then large enough for pond filters to physically extract them from the water.
