Ophiopogon japonicus is a low growing, clump forming evergreen with short and attractive dark green, strappy foliage. This ornamental grass suits a variety of gardens, from traditional formal to Asian inspired. It makes a great border plant - looks great planted between stepping stones. Also suited for pots and rockeries. Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position with moist well drained soil. Low maintenance once established but keep moist during dry weather. Apply a controlled release fertiliser annually to maintain healthy foliage. Clumps can be divided during spring.
