Crassula ovata has glossy, deep green, fleshy, tubular leaves – the tips of these leaves can turn red, intensifying in bright sunlight. Creamy-white to pale pink star-shaped flowers bloom in Spring but this is infrequent. They will only bloom in favourable conditions. It is a larger succulent reaching a height of 90cm if planted in an outdoor garden. It will not grow as big if kept in a small pots or planters. Crassula ovata ‘Hobbit’ can be kept indoors and can adapt to low light.
