Ledebouria socialis, commonly known as Wood Hyacinth, is delicate looking - although extremely hardy bulbous plant. The lance-shaped leaves are silvery-blue with dark olive-green spots. The underside of the leaves and the bulbs are a purple colouring. The Ledebouria socialis makes for a unique and colourful additions to gardens or indoor displays. Small green flowers bloom on pink stems above the foliage in Spring and Summer. Can reach a height of 30cm but this can take between 3-5 years. Can be kept indoors but needs a bright sunny spot. If it doesn’t get enough light the leaves can become stretched.
