The Aeonium is a magnificent looking succulent with dark purple-black polished leaf rosettes with a pale green centre. The Aeonium loves shady areas but can also tolerate full sun - the more sunlight it gets the darker the leaves with become. In sunny positions, the Aeonium will produce small yellow flowers – it can take several years before seeing the plant bloom. The plant can grow quite tall and the rosettes foliage will fall off and die leaving a bare stem. This can be cut, allowing for a new one to form. The height of the plant will depend on where it is grown.
