Orostachys iwarenge is a low growing, clumping succulent with small lavender-grey cone-shaped rosettes that grow to about 5-7cm in diameter. The plant produces offsets on long stems that shoot out from the main plant. This makes for easy propagation. In Winter, the plant may go dormant and appear dead, it should grow back in Spring. In Summer, rosettes expand upwards creating a tall tower (this is where they get their common Name, as they are shaped like dunce caps) that are crammed with tiny cream to white flowers. The flowering rosette will then die off.
