The floral emblem of Western Australia, Anigozanthos manglesii produces masses of spectacular red and green flowers. This is a relatively tough kangaroo paw that is suitable as a feature plant either in a container or in a sunny, well drained position in the garden. Also suitable for a landscape setting. Requires relatively low maintenance and can be grown with or without fertilising. Slow release fertiliser is most suited if desired. Prune flower stems back to the ground after flowering. Anigozanthos are very drought hardy, however watering at the time of flowering will benefit.
