The Knobby Club Rush is also known as the Knobby Club Sedge or Knotted Club Rush. The plant has dark green foliage with small brown seed clusters high up on the stems giving it a resemblance of a small club – hence the name. The Knobby Club Rush is a great clumping plant for wet or dry areas and is wind and heat tolerant making it a perfect hardy, low maintenance plant.
Knobby Club Rush looks quite similar to the Finger Rush but the seed heads are quite different. The Knobby Club Rush has rounded spikey seedheads whereas the Finger Rush has rounder seedheads with bigger clusters. It can have a tall or weeping habit.
Pond Plants are always a great addition to any pond. They compete with the algae for nutrients which helps to keep the pond clean. Having multiple plants can be an effective way of filtering the water but you generally need to have half the water surface covered to have a noticeable change. This also depends on certain factors such as type of fish and location of the pond. As well as filtering the water, pond plants help to oxygenate the water during the day.
Our Pond Plants can come in two main pot sizes, 140mm ($12.95) or 200mm ($20.00) pot. The 140mm pots are generally always in stock but the larger 200mm pots are not always available. Seasonal plants are not generally available during dormancy. Please check for availability.
